At ITRR, Emma contributes to research projects focused on public land management, outdoor recreation, visitor use, and tourism throughout Montana. She designs surveys and interview instruments, supervises field data collection teams, conducts qualitative and quantitative analyses, and writes and interprets research reports to help inform management decisions. Emma also administers ITRR’s Survey Kit service and provides valuable information to various organizations and communities across Montana. She holds a B.A. in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College in Boston and an M.S. in Resource Conservation from the University of Montana. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling the world, and exploring Montana’s public lands with her husband and their pup Luna.
